  1. Pickup from Varanasi Junction or Babatpur airport. Check in, rest, then a boat to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening Ganga aarti.

  2. Early boat ride along the ghats at sunrise. Darshan at Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna and Kaal Bhairav temples. Afternoon at Sarnath: Dhamek Stupa and the museum.

Things to carry

  • Government photo ID for every traveller (needed at Kashi Vishwanath)
  • Comfortable slip-on footwear for temples and ghats
  • A light shawl for the early morning boat ride (winter)
  • Small bag; phones and bags are not allowed inside Kashi Vishwanath

Important notes

  • Mobile phones, bags and leather items must be deposited in lockers before Kashi Vishwanath darshan.
  • Boat timings depend on the Ganga water level; during floods the aarti is seen from the ghat.
  • Sugam darshan or special puja can be booked on request at actual cost.
